I want to set up a site for the extended family and I want to get a few ideas of what people would like on the site. I think the internet provides a good answer to enabling us to tap into the pool of relations that we have and to maintain contact with.
I have a few ideas here.

1. Private family resource ie our own family directory, private to us,
2. Build your own page Easy interface for non-developers to put up web pages.
3. Family news and pictures Easy upload of your news and pictures
4. Business advertising to other family members
5. Database of all your relations Birthdays weddings etc

I want as many contributions as I can get.
